Exciting news for Parkland! On July 11, 2012, the City of Parkland Commission unanimously approved two new school dedication agreements. The city has been trying for the past two years to gain approval from property owners out by the wedge to designate land for two new schools.
The commission, as well as the rest of Parkland, is a strong supporter of education. As a result, approval and commitments were granted from the wedge property owners to set aside the land for the construction of new schools in the coming years. With this recent approval by the City of Parkland, a proposal for an elementary and middle school will be be presented to the Broward County School Board Commission for final approval. I recently wrote and article announcing, All Parkland Schools Again Awarded A-Rating. Kudos to Mayor Udine and the rest of the Parkland Commission for being diligent and looking to the future growth of the City of Parkland.
This recent news is exciting for the City of Parkland and the residents. As a result, the growth of Parkland and the Wedge will continue, as the plan to build more schools are already being put into place. The building of new schools will also help the real estate market as well as the local businesses, as more and more residents are looking to call Parkland home and live the Parkland Lifestyle.
