There were 43 total single family resales for the month of June, 2012 ranging in price from $248,000 to $1,550,000. In May, 2012, there were a total 38 Parkland Single Family Resales. There was 5 more Parkland single family homes sold in the month of June, 2012 than in May, 2012. Among the June sales, 12 were distressed sales (bank foreclosures or short sales). 28% of all sales were distresses ones.
The Parkland real estate market is red hot and rebounding! Many Parkland neighborhoods are seeing multiple sales. In particular, Heron Bay and Parkland Golf & Country Club, are seeing record sales in the past few months. We have never seen so many single family home sames in the City of Parkland, Florida like right now.
The summer months are always more active, as buyers want to move to our city before the next school year commences. As a result, families can get more acclimated to the area and live the Parkland Lifestyle. Distressed sales are not taking over the market, as short sales foreclosures make up approximately 25% of the overall sales in Parkland. With the lack of distressed properties for sale, the overall Parkland real estate market is certainly improving and will continue to rebound in the coming months to years.
