There were 28 total single family sales for the month of August 2014 ranging in price from $344,000. to $949,000. Among the August, 2014 sales, only 1 single family home sold in the City of Parkland was a distressed sale (bank foreclosures or short sales) . Among the homes sold for the month of August, a large portion were in East Parkland. With all of the preconstruction homes being built in West Parkland and the resort and golf course living available to potential home buyers, I am happy to see that buyers see the value of what East Parkland also has to offer potential home buyers. In East Parkland, home styles tend to have larger lots and larger interior bedroom sizes. Also, many communities, such as Pine Tree Estates and Cypress Head, have homes that sit on builder and full acre lots. Living in East Parkland also allows for easier access to Boca Raton and Coconut Creek. These are just a few of the many benefits of living in East Parkland.
It is also exciting to announce that there was only 1 distressed home sold in the month of August, 2014 showing a strong and growing real estate market in Parkland, Florida. Distressed sales can negatively impact a particular community or even a city. With very few Parkland bank foreclosures or short sales coming available in our city, it shows the strength, stability, and growth of the overall Parkland real estate market.
We have seen a major drop in single family resales from last month. The major reason for this drop is due to the fact that Parkland is a family-oriented city, and many potential buyers are calling Parkland home for the great school district. As a result, these buyers want to get into their new homes and become acclimated to the Parkland Lifestyle before the school year commences in August.
