There were 29 total single family sales for the month of December, 2014 ranging in price from $303,000 to $1,000,000. Among the December, 2014 sales, 4 were distressed sales (bank foreclosures or short sales).

Last month, there were 24 total single family homes sales in Parkland, Florida. There were 5 more homes in December, 2015 than last month.  The reason for the slight in crease in overall single family resales in Parkland is due to the fact that some home buyers want to close before the end of the year for tax purposes.  Overall, the real estate market buyer activity slows down towards the end of the year due to the holidays.

Many home buyers are looking to call Parkland, Florida home for their families and want to live the Parkland Lifestyle.  Buyers want to take advantage of the many features and benefits of Parkland including excellent public schools, safe neighborhoods, great parkland and recreational activities, along with the small-town living.

Approximately, half of the December 2014 sales were in East Parkland, Florida.  In particular, the Parkland community of Pine Tree Estates saw 6 total sales for the month of December.  Pine Tree Estates is a popular community, as there is no homeowner’s association.  The lots are at least over 1 acre in size and allow for buyers looking for an estate home, equestrian living, and even farm land.  Many residents enjoy the open setting with spacious lot sizes, no gates, and easy access to Parkland’s parks and recreation along with the equestrian center.
