The Parkland real estate market is getting as hot as the temperature outside!  In Parkland, we are already seeing a 22% increase in sales of singe family homes from this time last year.   In fact, we are on pace to have one of the busiest real estate Summer selling seasons in history!

The Parkland Parrot Real Estate Team has been telling both potential Parkland buyers and sellers to get off the fence and make a move!  The driving force to the uptick in home sales is that buyers are are finally starting to see the values in buying a home.  These buyers are also taking advantage of record low interest rates (as low as 4.3%) as well as a low inventory of Parkland available single-family homes.   Our team alone has already put together 4 homes under contract for the month of May.

Parkland Florida Schools Voted Among Best In Nation

Forbes Magazine Report Shows Parkland Florida Schools As Among Best In the Nation

The annual review recently released by Forbes Magazine shows how the City of Parkland was voted eighth overall where a homeowner’s housing dollars went the furthest for local education.  Parkland also received the highest accolade in the category of homes costing between $400,000 to $599,999.

Forbes review was conducted with the help of GreatSchools, which analyzed 17,589 towns and cities across the country that administered standardized tests and the results from recent National Assessment for Educational Progress data.  As a result of the study of more than 200,000 public schools and charter schools, the City of Parkland excelled as being one of the best in the entire nation.

Parkland Mayor Michael Udine was extremely happy when first hearing of this prestigious honor, but not surprised by the city’s high ranking. “We have always emphasized the importance of our schools. Our City does as much as we can to assist our local schools. Our volunteers and school community should all be commended and congratulated.”

Amazing Turnout At Parkland Egg Hunt Sponsored By Parkland Parrot Real Estate Team

April 23, 2011 City of Parkland Egg Hunt

Amazing turnout at this year’s City of Parkland Egg Hunt event this past Saturday at Terramar Park.  The Parkland Parrot Real Estate Team was again proud to sponsor this event for the second year in a row.  Along with our friends, Dr. Joseph Bogart and Dr. Nina Hersh of Parkside Health & Wellness Center we a great time interacting with the residents of the City of Parkland.

In fact, there were over 450 children that pre-registered for this exciting event.  Over 15,000 eggs were given out to all the kids.  There were bounce houses, rock climbing, games, and even the Parkland Bunny made a guest appearance to take pictures with all of kids.

Amazing Resident Turnout At Parkland Polynesian Festival

Parkland Parrot Real Estate Team Sponsors Polynesian Festival At Pine Trails Park

Hundreds of Parkland residents and their families attended the annual Polynesian Festival at Pine Trails Park Amphitheater this past Saturday evening.  There was something for the entire family to enjoy at the festival.  Our Parkland Real Estate Team is a sponsor and gave away free non-alcoholic Hawaiian ices to all attendees.

There was also arts and crafts for the kids, and Polynesian Proud Productions performed native Hawaiian music and an exciting fire show that left the audience in awe.  At the end of the show, the Polynesian entertainers had all of the Parkland children come on stage to learn a special Hawaiian dance.

Parkland Florida Farmers Market

Parkland Farmer’s Market is back, and local residents are enjoying the great produce and other vendors right in their backyards.  If you are looking for fresh vegetables, fruits, homemade items, and much more then you must come to the next Farmer’s Market.  This year, there are a lot more vendors offering various goodies.

The last Farmer’s Market, Rosy and I enjoyed authentic southern barbecue, which was absolutely delicious, especially the homemade macaroni and cheese.  We also enjoyed the guacamole dip which was made for us right there at the booth.  There are also many arts and crafts booths along with a bounce house for the kids.  So, this is a local event for the entire family to enjoy!
