Parkland Realtor Michael Citron Quoted In Sun-Sentinel Luxury Real Estate Article

Parkland Real Estate Agent Michael Citron Quoted In Luxury Sentinel Article

south-florida-luxury-real-estate-scottie-pippenWho says selling real estate is not a tough job?  Look at former NBA Allstar Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls.  Pippen has been trying to sell his Fort Lauderdale mansion in Harbor Beach for the past 8 years.  The 10,000 square foot home with 6 bedrooms, a water slide, playground, putting green, and even a full court basketball court and dock was originally listed at an asking price of just under $15,000,000.  8 years later and still no buyers, the home’s been adjusted to: $11.8 million.

south-florida-luxury-real-estate-home-scottie-pippenThe Sun-Sentinel turned to Parkland and South Florida real estate expert, Michael Citron, for answers as to why the home has not sold and what insight he could provide to the public.  “It doesn’t take a genius to see that this home is overpriced,” said Citron. “If you can’t sell your home in eight years, you’re just not able to see the values around you.”  Citron also believes that Pippen will have to come down further on his asking price if he wants to move his Fort Lauderdale pad.  Many times, we see people in the limelight try to sell their homes for more than market values seeking star-struck buyers.  Unfortunately, Pippen’s pricing strategy for the past 8 years as been a flop!   To read the entire Sun-Sentinel article, please click: Scottie Pippen Luxury Fort Lauderdale Home

Scottie Pippen helped Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls win 6 championships during his NBA career.  Pippen purchased two lots for $1.34 million and built the Fort Lauderdale Harbor Beach home in 2000. Pippen’s 215 foot of water frontage is located on a canal, and not the Intracoastal Waterway, which also may be an indicator of the asking price being too high.
