There were 25 total single family sales for the month of January, 2014 ranging in price from $350,000 to $1,187,000. Among the January, 2014 sales, only 6 were distressed sales (bank foreclosures or short sales). 15% of all sales were distresses ones.

The 2014 started off strong with many sales in the $300,000 to $500,000 price range.  As a result, this data shows that many young buyers are looking to call Parkland home and live the  Parkland Lifestyle. I am excited to see young families looking to move into our city, with our A-Rated school district, safe city, and plenty of parks and recreational activities for all family members.

Parkland real estate is also an exciting investment opportunity, as with the growth of our city and more and more building currently going on, prices of existing homes have tremendously increased in values and will continue in the coming years.  I have to personally say that as a former teacher, Parkland is actually an affordable alternative to other cities like Weston.  Your children will attend one of the best school districts in the States of Florida as well as live in a safe area and have access to incredible sports and recreational activities.  Think how much money you will save by not having to pay to send your children to private schools which are terribly expensive.  What better bang for your buck for your money than owning in Parkland.
